The Nexus of Forces (big data, social media, cloud mobility...) are driving digitisation, how will this potentially impact the London insurance market?
Lloyd's Library, Lloyd's Building, One Lime Street, London EC3M 7HA,
Friday 13 June 2014
08:30AM - 10:15AM
Introduction
In the midst of the ongoing 'digital explosion' (internet use, mobility and cloud services....), every new advance also brings with it greater opportunity for those with malign intent. Many businesses seek to address these threats at a technical level, with limited understanding of the business risk. Recent high profile events have shown that this approach can leave even relatively sophisticated organisations vulnerable.
This 90-minute seminar will highlight the scale, nature and growing sophistication of the threats market companies – irrespective of size – face, by being targeted and losing commercially sensitive data. Plus outline some approaches that businesses could take to understand and mitigate the business risks they face, in both proactive and reactive terms.
Delivered by senior experts, this seminar will also reveal some of the key 'Hows' and 'How-nots' for companies who are looking to learn more about this important emerging IT landscape. This - the second of this year's 'IT Matters' Briefings - has been tailored to the needs of the insurer, broker, managing agent and underwriter, IT, security, compliance, analysts and finance professionals. If this Briefing is relevant to other colleagues within your company then please forward this e-mail to them.
