Security Matters

Cyber Security Governance: Latest Trends, Threats, and Risks. October 2025. Is Your Business Ready for the New Wave of Attacks?

Lloyd's Library, Lloyd's Building, One Lime Street, London EC3M 7HA,

Thursday 16 October 2025

12:00PM - 14:00PM

Introduction

Surprising no one, new attack vectors, led by AI, dominate emerging threats, giving hackers the ability to find new innovative ways to gain access to your data, disrupt your business and extort money.

The ransomware threat in 2025 is formidable. Recent analysis from Commvault paints a stark picture: Ransomware is now a factor in a staggering 44% of all data breaches, up from 32% the previous year. While headlines might point to falling median ransom payments, the total cost of recovery continues to skyrocket. For IT and security management, this is a critical moment. The old defences are no longer enough. It’s time to understand the new adversary playbook and build a resilient organisation ready to face the threats of 2025 and beyond. One lesson is clear: companies need incident response plans that account for extended operational disruptions and financial impacts.

The dilemma is how do you maintain peace of mind that your business is secure by design?

There will be an opportunity to put questions to the presenters at the end of the forum.

This is a Free to attend event.
