“Data Protection in the age of AI: Is Your Business Ready for the New Wave of Cyberattacks?”

Lloyd's Library, Lloyd's Building, One Lime Street, London EC3M 7HA,

Thursday 12 February 2026

12:00PM - 14:00PM

Introduction

In the opening weeks of 2026, the cybersecurity landscape is defined by a convergence of threats, with AI-driven attacks, industrialised ransomware, and advanced social engineering creating a "perfect storm" for organisations, regardless of size. While technology has evolved, the "human element"—including errors, misconfigurations, and falling for social engineering—continues to act as the primary, yet often overlooked, root cause of 70% to 95% of security breaches.

Hackers, scammers, fraudsters and 'insiders' have one thing in common: they're all a danger to your business. Some are cyber criminals; others are old fashioned financial criminals. But they all want to disrupt your business and defraud you of your money.  So, without question, preparing for the inevitable breach is worth the priority, time, effort, and expense, given the potential for abruptness of system lockouts, data loss, litigation, damage to brand and erosion of trust. The dilemma is how do you maintain peace of mind that your business is secure by design?
